On Saturday, St. Paul’s young women from IGNITION:Youth spent the day with Pastor Tiffany for the Worth It. 2020 conference by Community Renewal.
In 2019, Community Renewal launched their first Worth It. conference and hosted young women of Shawnee from 6th grade – 12th grade. Worth It. was designed to help young women discover their worth, strengthen their relationships, and take better care of themselves, mind, body, and soul.
This year, Worth It. was done as a semi-virtual event, with pod’s held at different houses to host small groups of girls. We listened to strong and courageous women from across our community as they shared their wisdom, their knowledge, and their passion with them. It was a powerful experience for all involved.
Director of Discipleship & Development, Tate Monroe, served on the panel that was held during lunch. He spoke to our young women about what to do when they learn their friend is self-harming, how to honor the friendship, and be an advocate for those who are hurting. It was a powerful moment among many, that deeply moved our young women.
St. Paul’s is proud to offer scholarships to all young women who would like assistance to attend the Worth It. conference.
