On July 5th, we will begin a new sermon series focused on the five specific cliches that are often used by Christians.
What does the Word of God actually say about these thoughts? Do these common sayings represent good or bad theology? Are we doing harm or good when we say these things to ourselves and to others? Have we missed God completely in believing these cliches?
Week One: “Everything Happens for A Reason”
Week Two: “God Helps Those Who Help Themselves” & “God Won’t Give You More Than You Can Handle”
Week Three: “God Needed Another Angel”
Week Four: “Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner”
During the month of July, our online study group hosted on Facebook, will be working on the book Half Truths by Adam Hamilton, that addresses these cliches on a deeper level.
