Becoming a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church is for those who feel led to make a deeper commitment to St. Paul’s UMC. Through this high expectation commitment, members agree to support the ministries of the church by their: prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. At St. Paul’s, our desire is to help members grow in their relationships with Jesus Christ, strengthen their faith and discipleship, surround them with a community of believers, increase their witness in the world, and empower them to be active agents of transformation in their communities.

Who We Are: At St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, we are a community of Christ followers who serve, worship, and grow together from the heart of downtown Shawnee.

Our Mission: At St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, we believe we are called to the mission of making disciples by connecting, serving, and sharing in the love of Christ to all of God’s children for the transformation of the world.

This class is four sessions covered over four weeks. We will cover topics such as: Christian discipleship, United Methodist history and beliefs, the story of St. Paul’s UMC, the elements of the membership vows (Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service, and Witness), spiritual gifts, and how to be a vital member of the St. Paul’s community. This class is open to non-members seeking membership, those considering a transfer from another United Methodist or non United Methodist church, and those who have recently joined St. Paul’s. This class takes place during the Sunday school hour at 9:30AM on Sundays. Childcare is available.
