1st Corinthians 11:17-34
Thoughts for reflection: Apparently from what Paul writes, there are significant divisions which are occurring in the Corinthian church as a result of the Lord’s Supper. In 1st Corinthians 11:17-22, we have the problem being described, 1st Corinthians 11:23-26 is the tradition of the Church, 1st Corinthians 11:27-32 is Paul’s interpretation of the tradition, and 1st Corinthians 11:33-34 is the conclusion/solution. What insight does this situation give to you as it relates to what the Corinthians must have been struggling with? What new insight does this give you into why and how we should partake in the Lord’s Supper?
