1st Timothy 2:1-7
Thoughts for reflection: How often do you pray for the leaders of our nation, state, city, and church? Now if you do, these are not the kind of prayers where we pray it is anyone but them in power, but prayers where we give thanks, make supplications, and intercede. Paul makes the point if our leaders are living godly lives, then the people will be able to lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and dignity.
Do you pray for leaders? Do you pray for the leaders you don’t agree with? I encourage you, especially during these turbulent political times, to pray for them at all levels; that they might be blessed by God and more fully embrace the Holy Spirit. If you do this over time, what might it change in them? What might it change in you?
