Romans 14:1-23

Thoughts for reflection:  You may have noticed that one of the most obvious differences between the Jewish faith today and Christianity is that of the dietary laws.  In the Book of Leviticus, especially, there are numerous things faithful Jews are not able to eat; pork being one of them.  However, we still have Leviticus in our Bible, and yet we can eat pork.  This difference is primarily due to these verses.  Paul is most concerned about ability to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ.  If following the dietary laws helps you, great.  If it doesn’t fine, but whatever you do or do not do, do not allow it to become something that keeps others from following Jesus as well.  What beliefs do you hold, which could keep someone else from following Jesus?  Is there anything you believe someone must do or stop doing before they could ever come to faith?  What does the Bible say about that?
