Thoughts for reflection: The agitators in the Galatian Churches were telling the new converts that it was what they did, works of the law, that made them right with God. Paul is reminding them, and us, in a very forceful manner, that the only thing that can make us right with God is faith in Jesus Christ. Only in accepting and responding to the love of God perfectly poured out for us in Jesus Christ can this justification, or being made right, with God occur. Once it has, our actions should be changed in response, because of the work of the Holy Spirit in us and our working with the Holy Spirit in the world, and not the other way around. Have you accepted the love of God given to all of us in Jesus Christ? Why, or why not? If so, what have you and are you doing in response to it?
